Evening showers to make for a wet Christmas Eve

Evening showers to make for a wet Christmas Eve

Live 5 Meteorologist Chad Watson says you can expect to see a few showers throughout the Lowcountry Monday evening, with temps reaching the mid 60s:

Christmas Eve is here and Santa may have to dodge a few showers on his trek across the Lowcountry tonight. This morning we are watching rain on the radar to our west and it looks like the clouds that are here already will thicken up as the day goes on. Temps started chilly in the mid 40s but will make it to the cool mid 60s by this afternoon. Wet weather chances are best after 5pm till around 11pm with many areas looking to get some light showers. By Christmas Morning...the rain will have moved out to sea and we start Tuesday with more clouds and temps in the upper 40s and lower 50s.

Winter winds drop Friday temps into the lower 50s

Winter winds drop Friday temps into the lower 50s

Live 5 Meteorologist Chad Watson says it is going to be a chilly Friday, with temps topping out in the lower 50s:

Plenty of sunshine is back for Friday but make sure you grab the coat! West winds are keeping us very chilly today as highs will only make it into the upper 40s and lower 50s. Combine that with the winds and it will feel much colder. Winds will also be a problem...a wind advisory is in effect until 5pm and we could get gusts over 35-40mph on the bridges and overpasses so be careful on the roads in the high profile vehicles. Tonight it will be clear and very cold with lows in the mid to upper 20s. Winds will stay up and that will lead to wind chill "feel like" temps by Saturday morning in the upper teens and lower 20s! Bundle up and enjoy the last weekend before Christmas!

Live 5 Meteorologist Chad Watson says beautiful weather is back on track, as sunshine returns to the Lowcountry:

Plenty of sunshine returns on Wednesday with highs back near 70 this afternoon. A light west wind will keep us mild and again above normal. We will stay clear and cool tonight with temps in the mid 40s but showers and storms are back Thursday evening along a cold front.

Tuesday's forecast brings sunshine and warm temperatures

Tuesday's forecast brings sunshine and warm temperatures

Live 5 Meteorologist Chad Watson says clear skies will return this afternoon with temperatures topping out in the low 70s:

After a wet night, Tuesday is looking much better with clouds clearing this morning and plenty of sunshine back overhead by mid-day if not sooner! Afternoon highs should be back in the upper 60s and lower 70s thanks to a brisk west wind around 15-20mph.

Make it a good Tuesday.

Sun returns just in time for weekend

Sun returns just in time for weekend

Live 5 Meteorologist Brad Miller has your weekend forecast:

After a dismal Thursday across the Lowcountry, better weather ahead as we finish up the work week and head into the weekend. A chilly start to our Friday as temperatures are in the 30s this morning under partly cloudy skies . High pressure continues to build into the southeast today, so lots of sunshine on the way with highs later this afternoon in the low to mid 60s. Saturday looks fantastic with mainly sunny skies expected and highs in the mid to upper 60s. A few more clouds on Sunday, and maybe even a late day shower, but it will be mild. Highs will be in the low 70s. Looks like another good chance at some rain for early next week.
